The title of this installation is derived from the first and last Morse Code messages to be transmitted.
Morse Code is an electrical telegraphic system of sending coded text based messages by a series of electronic pulses or flashing light signals based on the Latin alphabet. Its primary use was traditionally in maritime communication and for sending coded messages during war and times of conflict to maintain an element of secrecy. It is now no longer in use as a commercial form of communication.
